List Building, Is It Really As Hard As People Make It Out To Be?

List Building really does not have to be as hard as it's made out to be, we'll go over it step by step. In this article I'll go over some of the basic things that you need to do to build not just a list, but a profitable list. You can add names to a list in a lot of different ways, but if you want targeted traffic for your Niche you will have to put in a little extra effort. Now this is not difficult techie stuff, It's just putting the right things together and following a set path to get your new money maker up and running.

Step 1) now you have got to go get an opt-in that you can stick on your site.
In case you are new an opt-in is a place where your visitors will insert their name and e-mail address. Now the average person is not going to want to just give you this information just because you are who you are. So what I would suggest is offering the visitor a special gift to become a subscriber on your list. Okay I understand you don't have money to give things away, and I wouldn't suggest you do, but you do know something about your Niche. You can write an informative article with that knowledge, or if you don’t feel comfortable with that yet, You can probably find some informative article or e-book on the internet that you can give away. Look at it this way even if you had to pay ten or fifteen dollars for something that you could give away to pick up thousands of names, don't you think it would be worth it, after all it is a business you might run into a couple of expenses.

Step 2) The next thing you need to make sure to get is an auto responder.
Now what an auto-responder does is actually collect all the information that your opt-in brings in for your list building needs, with this freedom machine you can not only program it to suck in and store information. But you can separate the different e-mail lists for different niches, and this little machine is actually one of the main things that will help you run your business on auto-pilot. So that you can go play once you have gotten everything up running( Like the idea of making money while you are sitting on the beach or playing Golf or whatever suits your fancy. That's the goal for most, but it might just be so you can pay all your bills on time.

Step 3) A website do you have one yet, if not you need to get one.
I know there are people that say you don't need a website to make money online. And admittedly they are right. But what they fail to tell you is, you'll need to work on your computer everyday too keep the cash flow coming in. And it makes it difficult to build a list. So if you don't have one you will need a domain name and a web host, you can get one that is not too expensive in fact you can get both for fewer than thirty dollars usually. There are a lot of different sites for both so just look at what you are getting for the money that you put out. Now I know that this area seems to scare a lot of people away. Well really it shouldn't the domain sites and the web sites have got it pretty straight forward and if I can set up a site than anybody can. Believe me I am not a techie kind of person.

Step 4) Traffic!!! This seems to be the big stumbling block for everyone that tries.
There are a bunch of different ways to draw traffic to you site, SEO, PPC, you could purchase lists that can get sent to your site, you might even try some of the free list building sites that claim they will send your sites super targeted traffic. But these are all things that take time and money. There is no promise of overnight success, but if you are the kind of person who wants to earn a new lifestyle and get free from that lovely job there is no better way to make money online. If you have been online looking for a way to make money, than I'm sure you have noticed that all the big Guru's send e-mails almost daily. There is a reason for that (that's where the money is), nobody said they were stupid.
Step 5) Alright now we have got a website set up, we have an opt-in set-up, we have an auto-responder (your freedom machine), and we are starting to run traffic to our site. What’s
left, oh I know something to sell.

There are lots of different things to sell and you don't have to create any of them, in fact I would say if you are just starting out, I wouldn't want to have my own product. That would create more headaches, we already start too feel information overload when we hear all this stuff. Anyway there are several sights that give you plenty of things to sell, I would suggest digital products, they have a whole lot less headaches. And these items usually have between a 50-75% commission rate. Making it more profitable for you than it is for the seller of the merchandise. All you have to do is find products in your niche and you will be set up.

Okay now it looks like you have the basics of what it takes to start your list building. And the good news is if you do a little bit each day, (whatever you feel comfortable doing), then anybody can do each and every part of this. I am not a techie, in fact I'm still learning all kinds of new things each and every day, (But then again I will always be learning). So simply put if I can do this anybody can do it.

So now is the time, remember take action right away, don't put it off, even if you make a mistake it's better that you took action and at least started the process, don't wait for perfection.
